017 #13 Artists, 13 Love Stories
#DAMUR, named after the French word "d'amour" (love), embodies a broad and diverse interpretation of love since its founding in Berlin in 2015. For brand director Damur, love extends beyond traditional romance, encompassing passion for fashion, care for the environment, friendships, and same-sex intimacy. The core of his vision is embracing diverse voices and experiences. This ethos is reflected in the "13 Artists, 13 Love Stories" show, where 13 artists express their unique love stories through music, creating a blend of emotions that celebrates the many facets of love.
The SS25 collection challenges gender stereotypes and embraces self-expression. Inspired by designer Damur’s childhood experience of being unable to wear a ballet tutu due to societal norms, the collection redefines traditional images of masculinity and femininity. Through pieces like a deconstructed tie-turned-skirt and a male model in a white tutu, #DAMUR subverts conventions, blending strength and softness. Featuring high-waist crop tops, asymmetry, and unisex skirts, the collection offers versatile, genderless silhouettes, embodying #DAMUR’s bold, boundary-breaking Berlin spirit.
