The Essence

Founded in 2015 by Taiwanese designer Damur Huang, the Berlin-based label #DAMUR draws inspiration from the dynamic energy of Asian pop culture and the experimental spirit of Berlin. Designed for the bold and fearless, #DAMUR celebrates those who embrace the fun side of life. The hashtag logo, #, symbolizes the freedom to define one's identity beyond societal norms—a core value we hold dear.

Our Mission

Is to increase opportunities for individual expression while reducing the environmental impact of fashion production. This is achieved by creating long-lasting and innovative pieces of streetwear built from deadstock premium fabrics under ethical working conditions. We produce an authentic fashion series with each collection centered around breaking stereotypes and norms.

Our Style

#DAMUR brings color to the Berlin style along with a colorful, edgy and provocative design. The pieces play with silhouettes using oversized construction, asymmetrical looks, and deconstructed design to shape collections that don’t abide by gender categories. Upcycled denim is heavily featured in the collections resulting in pieces that combine different colours and textures. Cutouts bring freedom to pieces by allowing a more transparent expression of our bodies.

Damur Huang

A creative but resilient person. He excels at deconstructing the key aspects behind Berlin culture and rebuilding them with his vision into eccentric yet casual collections. He is currently up to his 13th collection, having received the Young Talents awards.

Growing up in Taipei, Taiwan, that’s where Damur found his love for fashion, explaining why Asian pop culture is ever-present in his designs. It is also there where he studied textiles and clothing at the Fu Jen Catholic University. After this, he moved to Europe where he enrolled in the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts and La Cambre-Mode[s] Brussels where he majored in the Fashion Design Department.

After working in brands like Alexander McQueen and Tim Van Steenbergen, he opened his namesake brand in 2015. His studio is located in the Kreuzberg #DAMUR store, where he participates in all stages of production from the digital designs up to end-product adjustments.
