"We shall always dare to dream and be different."

 -Damur Huang

In 2007, Damur successfully started his fashion career in the fashion department of Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Art. He switched to Stylisme et création de mode, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre in 2008 and finished his post-graduation studies in 2011 in Belgium. During this time, he was working as an intern under several fashion designer brands such as JAMEI CHEN, Tim Hamilton, McQ Alexander McQueen, Tim Van Steenbergen and Dawid Tomaszewski. Many of his ideas and designs were applied to the collection lines and productions of these companies.

After graduation Damur worked as an assistant designer under Dawid Tomaszewski. For two seasons he was responsible for the menswear line and outerwear of the womenswear. After two seasons of Dawid Tomaszewski he switched to Marcell von Berlin and played a key role in the design department, taking responsibility for the womenswear and the accessory lines.

After being encouraged by many friends, supervisors, and investors, he started the career of an entrepreneur and launched DAMUR studio in 2015. Damur's design philosophy combines classical garment techniques with the newest methods in textile science, always changing the story that society expects. He makes designs that imbue figure elegance with functionality, mixing of professional appeal and avant-garde details.

The most important message Damur wants to communicate is:

Live surreal, wear pragmatic.
